Destructure

Farewell to the stands on the castle esplanade as they are dismantled and stored until next year's Tattoo in August. At a cost of £16 million they first made an appearance in 2011. It takes a month to put them up and a month to take them down so only 27 days left before it disappears completely - until next July.

Apparently the event is now called the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo after the Queen awarded it the Royal title in celebration of six decades of existence. Presumably the royal title in celebration of my six decades of existence has got lost in the post...
