Reflective Day

I managed to get down to the hidden lake for a quick visit this morning as my sore ankle was much better today. Havent been there for a while so I was hoping I would see Madame Lonely Swan with a new partner. But no, she wasnt even there.

A while ago I mentioned that she always had a sidekick, a little coot that seemed to follow her around. Well Miss Coot seems to have found herself a partner and they've made a HUGE nest in the water.

Hopefully I will be able to keep my eye on the progress of the babies when they come and see the development of the little coot family. You can just see one of them off to the right of the nest.
