La Rocque St. Christophe

This was a mediaeval village built on top of a neanderthal settlement in the side of the cliff, that was apparently continuously occupied until the late 1500s.

The River Vezere below is very popular for canoeing - but I think we are going to try the River Dordogne instead next week.
