Back to the Wolseley Centre

A good forecast for weather, so I returned to the Wolseley Centre, on the edge of Cannock Chase and near to Rugeley, Staffs. It was there I had seen the Silver-washed fritillary (butterfly) and I wanted to see if it was still there.

It was. Rather bedraggled. There were also lots and lots of others, enjoying the sunshine on the buddleias.

Small Tortoiseshells
Peacocks
Whites - scrapping and fluttering
And a stunning teasel against the light

I turned a corner and two swans were on the furthest pool, caught in rays of light.
It was a lucky morning - I had a choice
