Loans topiary

We wandered though the park earlier today, enjoying the warm September sunshine - it really has been a great summer, hasn't it? It's almost exactly 3 months since the Loans Gala and it still feels just as warm! That was a great day - one of the best we can remember. Incidentally, the Gala Committee meets up again this evening to start planning for the coming year.

As well as the summer Gala in June, the Committee organises up to four other events in the village each year - a ceilidh, Halloween party, Xmas 'Light up Loans' and an Easter Fun Day. They're always looking for extra help and ideas and would welcome anyone interested in joining the Committee, contributing to events, or willing to help in any way to attend this evening's meeting - why not go along! It's at 7.30 pm tonight in the Old Loans Inn.

By the way, have you noticed the fine topiary hedge at the back of the Old Loans Inn? And it looks like some new privet is being grown to extend it. We think it's quite smart.
