Vanellus Vanellus

This is a first time I have ever spotted immature lapwings up at Nerston Loch. They have probably been there on previous years but I have never been fortunate enough to see them. The youngsters were well camouflaged against the rocks and didn't stay still for too long when L and I approached with cameras at the ready. Now I know where to find them I'll try again another day.
