Swim

Today was pretty special. Myself and a friend had arranged to drive up to Colchester, to meet another friend of ours and go for a skinny dip. Originally we were going to go off Mersea, but the yards of mud and possibility of getting stuck at high tide put us off slightly, and we drove around to Brightlingsea. We had to wait quite a while for the day trippers to wander off, and then the joggers to get through their daily outing, but after dusk fell and the fish and chip shops shut we were in! And it was amazing. The sky was full of stars, we could see the milky way as there as no moon, and the water had bio-luminescence so was glittering as we swam. The only slight downside was the weed, which in the pitch black did come as a bit of a surprise! Annoyingly we were making an audio recording of the trip, but I managed to get the recorder in the sea, which is pretty gutting as it would have made a great recording. Hopefully it will dry out!!!
