Life in a Northern Town

Autumn apples

Actually, don't tell anyone but the apples and the tree are still rich green, but I was messing about with filters and I like this effect.

But it must be Autumn as David had a spider in his room last night - no point asking me for help as I am an arachnophobe, and Mr kagsy is unhelpfully working in Paris this week. After much commotion he captured it in a tennis ball tin, then tried to flush it down the loo - it was no longer in the tin by the time he got to the bathroom! Not sure why I was laughing as it probably scuttled over my face when I was asleep! Horrid things.

So, today was the first mad Wednesday of the new school year, I have been to Wakefield and am currently having a short break from taxi duties. Good news though - I have had an email from Ban Ki-moon, who has found my missing $750,000 (thank goodness for that) and I can have it back so long as I send my details to a nice chap in Nigeria. I hope Mr Ki-moon can now get back to the more mundane task of sorting out the problems in the middle east.

I was half going to wait for the sunset but I am gambling on it being a washout, so the rest of you get out there with your cameras, it's bound to be glorious!!
