No cotton wool required

Better day at work
Thank you all for your positive comments they really helped. Had an advisor in today talking about how society has changed in last fifty years.
Lots of huge differences such as children would happily walk to school but nowadays vast majority are driven, how children were happy to carry own stuff even when heavy, lots of children come out of our school and throw book bags at parents who dutifully pick them up and carry them home.

These are just two examples and out of context they don't make as much sense but I think the overriding message I got from today was

Take risks
Take children out of their comfort zone
Let them experience failure and learn from it

So what did I do when we got home?
I gave Charlotte her nursery bag and said carry it up the door
What did she do?
She carried it to the door, into the house and then put it down by the stair gate which leads to the utility!
