Another peacock
We had a visit from our deputy chair JF today. She was delayed at Manchester Airport so slightly late arriving and we were a depleted group, one at home with his new wain, one on a day's leave and one .....
But we had a good discussion and a visit round some of the partners. And the sun came out and it was hot. I picked up the history of the Pleasance Lifehouse. I had no idea it used to be a Heriot's School until in 1909 the SA took it over.
We took the print being at the bottom of Dynamic Earth to go into the Parliament (via the new entrance) to see the Great Tapestry of Scotland. It is amazing. A few panels are 'coming soon' but overall it is a great community effort that tells the story of Scotland. I'll need to go back and spend more time enjoying it. This is one of two panels about Paisley and the weaving industry. The Paisley pattern snaps based on the peacock's tail.
It was still over 22 degrees when I got home so time for a wee sit on the evening sun. Fine.
