Assing About . . .

Not much happening . . . Jools spent the morning varnishing the wooden bits on the outside of the house. I looked at the instructions accompanying some new outside lights and had to have rest.

This afternoon we drove to Chudleigh's orchard, where Jools slouched in the shade drinking coffee, while I padded around the animal enclosure trying to persuade the piglets to perform. No luck there, but this donkey was lying in the heat of the sun, waves of heat reflecting from his back. I woke him, he idled across, had his picture taken, then fell down in a swoon and caught up on lost dreams . . .
