At Home: Jack came back....x
Going away from home is hard for both parties. Jack our little cob has a close relationship with the children. On arriving home, he walks away from them. A kind of horse way of saying 'where have you been when I needed you, last week?'
Of course he was well looked after by a good friend Jayne. In the time we were away up North, Jack has built up a stronger relationship with his horse herd friends. Thats survival. His human herd was gone, no leadership. There is no reason why he should return to a human herd unless its pointed out how good the human herd is.
So we caught Jack. His mane was full of teasels. We bathed him. Combed his mane. Beau and Ella fed him carrots. We moved him and his horse friends into a new grassy paddock and let him go.
Jack walked back over to the children. His human herd bond renewed. The children sat down and chatted. Jack seemed to join them in the conversation, humans and horses have a lot to talk about x
