Get off my land...

Disappointing trip out this afternoon. I went to a bit of countryside that has been totally changed because of a dual carriageway - but that aside there are still some nice lakes and woods but they have been bought and are no longer common land. There are signs all around with "Angling - PRIVATE FISHING" written on them. It is all gated with huge locks and loads of barbed wire. Really odd though as there was no-one at the lakes and the office for the fishing wasn't open and yet it was a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon. Seems like a strange arrangement and certainly put a spanner in the works for us this afternoon!
