Shoreham Fort
Still storing up happy memories. Steve wanted to take me to Shoreham Fort today. He went with the boys a couple weeks ago but I was cooking instead, so as the weather looked amazing today we decided to go. Bean wasn't keen, he was enjoying playing with his daddy! There was lots of running around and wrestling and falling over and laughing this morning. (That was the boys, while I was being fed, and had been given coffee with caffeine in in an attempt to alleviate some serious grumpiness on my part.)
We went to the Fort, climbed up, Bean struck up a conversation with a couple of ladies sunbathing in a secluded part of the fort; we walked along the harbour break and watched someone reeling in a catch; we played on the beach for a while in the glare of the sun; we walked back and popped in to the coastwatch tower where Bean suddenly became impossibly shy; and then we headed off to the airport for supper and to look at the planes. Dropped Steve off at smallgroup on the way home, got the boys into pyjamas (they'd been singing the boobie song on the way home!) whereupon they instantly woke up. Got a couple of Christmas cards done, put the boys to bed, Steve came home, did some more cards, got distracted.... Should go to bed really! After I've finished the cards I've started. Promise.
