The Graves of the Clans

Up in the north of Scotland now. This afternoon we visited Culloden. We were last here in 1989. Today there's a fine new visitor centre with "Learning Officers" who give talks in costume.

We were entertained by a coach party of Germans who arrived, were route-marched round the battlefield, then left in the time it took me to compose this photo. (Not that much of an exaggeration, I swear.)
