What did the Romans ever do for us?

Arles. The largest building in Roman Gaul was a gift to the locals from Caeser, a show of thanks for building him a new fleet. A couple of thousand years ago it was used amongst other yhings as an entertainment venue for gladiator battles. Thankfully in the early 21st century it hosts far more civilised events ....bull fighting.
