Cabin in the snow

Fairy Point Hut, aka the Love Shack. Heading back the morning after a surprise evening meal out here that the others organised for my birthday. It was a lovely treat and the snow that fell overnight meant that when we looked out the next morning everything was bright white instead of the muddy brown it had been when we arrived.

The large white empty circle on the left is the Little Mac, where around 500 Macaroni Penguins nest, while behind you can just see the top of Big Mac, where there's about 40,000. It'll be another 6 weeks before they're back.
