MeriRand & the NW Passage

By randra

One hundred four

Every time we visit our old cousin, I marvel at her resilience of spirit. She is one of the nicest, friendliest people - even if she cannot see you or remember who you are.

And at 104, she's seen everything. Not just personal things like her parents untimely passing, recruiting soldiers for WWII, her husbands death, and battles with breast cancer and osteoporosis. She's also seen the transformation from rail and buggy to automobile and aircraft. She's seen men on the moon, the computer, huge social movements, you name it!

How remarkable that she lives on, aiming for 105, and is just as cheery and willing to help others as she ever was.
