The Wooden Man

This is the statue of a wooden man that greets you at the entrance to the Miners Museum at Afon Argoed..We have looked on Google and asked many people for information of who he is, and what he represents. A member of staff at the park believes it was modelled on a local character who lived further up the valley. It has been carved from one piece of wood. Anyway, we like it . We call him Dai, which is short for David.
