National Instructor Exam Project Dive

This is part of the presentation we put together as a group (us 5 candidates) for our National Instructor Exam Project Dive. This was only one of 23 elements to the exam! The picture (all my own work!) shows the dive site, Eilean Dubh, which are 2 small islands just off Kyle of Lochalsh. We were searching for Gaping File Shell nests over 2 days. I was in the Day 1 team and we surveyed the east side of the area south of the islands. I surveyed the areas marked C1 and C2 with my buddy (and examiner!) Jim. The Day 2 team surveyed the west side.

We had to put a presentation together as a group and present it together to our examiners the following day.

My fellow candidates - Marg, Jamie, Sophie and Phil - are an amazing bunch and we all got on brilliantly! We worked so very well together and we are now very good pals :-)

We won't get our results for at least 3-4 weeks. People ask me how I think I have done! It's very difficult to tell - some parts I fell short on and some parts I think I did ok on but the examiners never give anything away! My gut feeling is that I have not passed this time and if that is true, I have already decided that I will have another go next year.
