Stromeferry - no ferry!

Last Wednesday night, I stayed with my friends, Lizzie and Jack. They live in Stromeferry, a few miles from Kyle of Lochalsh. This is the view from their upstairs window onto Loch Carron.

Stromeferry used to have a ferry service across Loch Carron until a road was built around the loch. The road sign directing you to Stromeferry actually reads 'Stromeferry (no ferry) - I kid you not!!
