Ferry up the Clyde!

Seem to be spending more time than anticipated in the Greenock area. I had intended blipping some of the hidden jewels of Greenock but could not resist this shot for personal reasons. I actually witnessed the launching of this vessel at Ferguson's yard at Port Glasgow in December. Then it was just a floating hulk but now it has engines fitted and it was making steady progress up the Clyde under her own power.

The name, Hallaig, comes from a poem by Sorley MacLean about a deserted village on Raasey. Hopefully with improved communications through the use of a modern ferry like this more people will go to the islands as visitors.
