Old north bank

Not a money bank but the river bank: this gateway marks the position of the northern bank of the River Thames before construction of the Victoria Embankment began in 1862. It's a good 100 metres north of the actual riverbank today. That's amazing, Fact Fans!

In Other News, I was again at the Wharf for another interview today (good thanks), followed by lunch with Paul in Covent Garden and drinks with a potential new colleague in Notting Hill.
