Five Centuries Old

A few miles north of where I live there is a place callled Cape Perpetua. There is a visitor center there and several trails. One is about one mile long and goes east to a spot where there is a Sitka Spruce that is 15 feet in diameter. It is 300 feet tall and 500 years old. It was a long walk for the Old Guy and the Mrs., but we brought Killer Dog along for protection.

My son goes farther for a carton of milk but he is in better shape then most people. Please just enjoy this image.
