Monster Moth

After sorting out emails last nigh, I headed back down something just gone midnight to find this moth about 3" across sitting at the kitchen table. The benefits of leaving the kitchen door open in the autumn!

It was completely passive, ignoring me taking photos of it for several minutes. I release it back outside afterwards. I don't think I could face something like that just after getting up in the morning.

In other news - photo society started again this evening, so good to catch up with people. Going to be missing the next two.
