Talk to the Hat

The source of inspiration today should have been obvious for many given that it was Freddie Mercury's birthday. Trouble with inspiration though is that it tends not to come in expected forms. And so it was that I was roaming the house looking for Freddie based ideas when I happened by the hat stand and spotted my trusty Tayberry there. 'Mustn't forget that for the weekend' thought I and decided it should feature as POTD. As is often the case when snapping individual objects, some kind of relevant mount/background is important. In the case of a hat, what better mount than one's head.

This picture was surprisingly tricky to take as I had to compose while looking up and then look down for the shot hoping it was all in. This isn't cropped at all, it is the exact image taken.

And finally, Happy Birthday to Freddie M. One of the true icons of the 20th Century and occasional hat wearer. Probably.
