FROM THE “SUBURBS” OF SMALL TOWN MEEKER, COLORADO

We’re here for the annual Sheepdog Trials,
Our R.V.,a short distance away at Rimrock Campground,

Looking around,
I imagine the campground’s named after the rock outcroppings,
That rim the perimeter.
Nothing gets by me.

We’re here till Sunday noon.
Then we head to Sand-wash Basin and the Wild Horses.

I should be able to blip and comment while here.
Although, internet requires me to sit outside the closed office.
With a faint porch light to illuminate my surroundings.
The darkness magnifies all sorts of odd unidentifiable noises.

I’ll have to back blip from Sand Wash Basin.
Which is beyond the land of cell service.
