JoJo

This is Jo. We haven't see each other since we worked in London two years ago, until Jo moved to Zurich and I started to commute weekly between Edinburgh and London. Jo was over in New York and Stamford, at which point we managed to meet up. We went for lunch and had a proper catch up. I took her to Capriccio Cafe and we sat under a lovely parapet and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of late summer lunch gatherings.

I took Jo to Mill River and, with both of us in high heels, showed her the river and the flowers. I climbed up on a small wall emblazoned with sunflowers and told her stories of the Mill River, its rise from the watery slums and how fresh water has come to the river after 360 years.

Jo left later that day.

We don't see friends often, but time means very little when there is a bond. A strong bond.
