Holy Family

I long day shooting for our friend the architect (who is also generously letting us stay at her home). It started before sunrise at a local park capturing images of an outdoor pavilion, then on to a local bank and finally ending here at Holy Family Catholic Church. This project was a Baptismal Font constructed directly behind the camera's position, but I also wanted to capture the tilework her company had overseen. I have closer photos showing mostly tile, but I liked the way this shot encompassed some of the stained glass that lines the top of the sanctuary as well as the way it leads your eye to the brightly lit alter. It is another of those shots that are probably too distorted for use by the architect, but one that creates a more interesting image than a straight record shot.
