Around the Pond

Looking for pictures around the pond is tricky. Usually I hear the plop and splash into the water as my subject escapes before I even get a glance at him, much less get my camera up and into focus. A little ways into it, I got back into the pond photo search walk rhythm (slow steps, looking ahead, and regularly checking feet for bugs who are trying to get a free ride). After wishing I had my larger lens for the little turtle that was floating on a log in the middle of the water, this quick guy settled down to pose.
