Castell Caerphilli

I had to pick up our eldest daughter from college again today so as its just down the road from Caerphilly, I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and take some photos of the castle and get some art stuff for our youngest daughter in WHSmith
It was quite busy around the castle as the stage etc was being set up for the BBC Proms in the Park tomorrow. I am hoping to go with my Mum but we're going to see how the weather pans out! Don't fancy sitting in the open air if its raining!
I took quite a few photos today but a lot of them didn't turn out too well because of the blown out highlights in the cloud formations. Any suggestions to overcome this would be greatly received!
This evening, I took my eldest daughter over to youth club at church in Newport and the sky was absolutely stunning on the drive over and back again. It would've made a perfect photo opportunity but by the time I got back home the beautiful colours had almost gone! Shame!
