Blaven, Isle of Skye

Great day on Skye, climbing Blaven. It's part of the Black Cuillin but not part of the Cuillin Ridge, making it achievable for me and my hillwalking buddy!

Fabulous views in the morning but, alas, no views at all at the summit because the cloud had closed in. Still we had a brilliant day in spite of the hard work negotiating the scree.

I'd hoped today's blip would have shown a wonderful panorama of the Cuillin Ridge as seen from the summit of Blaven but it was not to be! Instead here is this lovely hill seen from the path on our way up before the cloud closed in.
