Wheel brace and bolts

An unfortunate bulge in the sidewall of one of the tyres on my car meant that I had to replace the tyre after only 5000 miles. I don't know what caused it, but could have been a pothole in the road, or a brush with the kerb. Either way, that's well over 2p a mile for just one tyre - that's getting expensive.
