Snails pace

Have had the day off work today and as always having a day off in the week feels far more special.

We were up bright and early as we'd allocated the day to the house and searching for new furniture and ideas. After heading in to town for a couple of hours we made our way to the kitchen shop. It is a lovely small family run business and they had some amazing kitchens! Plenty of food for thought there.

We needed a few other bits so headed off to Ikea with our list in hand. As always, it appears the ikea time vortex was operating at full power, as we left far later than anticipated.

The 30 minute journey home took almost two hours due to the dartford tunnel and crossing being closed. It was a snails place and my snap of my tape measure,which has had plenty of use today, reminded me of a snail.
