Gazing into my crystal ball
If only it were possible.
One of the delights of having children is watching them grow up and make their own way in the world. It's a double edged sword because you look at how the world is changing and you wonder what sort of a lifestyle they are going to be able to carve out for themselves. Diana and I and our generation have been pretty lucky. Jobs or even careers were relatively easy to step into when we left school and there was for the best part of our working life at least the notion of a job for life. I don't think that is true any longer, and whilst we may have to deal with redundancy in the twilight of our careers, we do at least own our own house and have provision for retirement. I can't see all of this being so easy for the children.
A lottery win would be nice so that we could set them up, but I'm not actually convinced that would be a good thing. Easy come easy go as they say. I think you need to earn it to appreciate it.
