yellow arrows

So I think with a bit of digging I have finally got to the bottom of my blip from the 3rd September - the yellow arrow is pointing to a yellow heart advertising the new use of the 603 square meters of floor space at the tu darmstadt - some cafe Bar dance club - but even more interesting is the symbolism behind the yellow arrows - this was a global public art project started in 2004 in new York where individuals would place yellow arrows in various locations to indicate places or objects of interest to the individual each arrow is given a unique code which you can use to find out the person s reasons for their choice - the project lasted two years and wound up with 7535 arrows being placed in 35 countries

The arrow in the blip did not have a code associated with it but was related in some way to the project

I love public art and concepts such as this wonder if any of the original arrows still remain?
