Went to visit Mandy's gran in hospital (Royal Victoria). She's been in a few hospitals over a period of about 7 weeks and the Royal Vic seems to be one of the better ones in terms of organisation - and treating the patients well.

Having said that- I was a bit surprised to walk into the reception area to find a jumble sale going on. Complete with posters of the equipment that they were fund-raising for. -It was mainly old books and clothes they were flogging and I secretly suspected it might have been unclaimed belongings of passed on patients. - All a bit scary and certainly not an image of the NHS you would want to put your faith in.

(But not as scary as the woman who was staring at the camera in each of my attempted blips. So here is a nice safe one instead...)
