Alcatraz & Fishermans Wharf

Another beautiful day today, even the locals seem surprised at how warm it's been, certainly no sign of that infamous fog for us. The Alcatraz tickets were booked for today, whoever has the monopoly on that one is doing a great job. You have to book well in advance for the tickets , but they don't tell you your time until the day. Consequently we had a lot of time to kill in Fishermans Wharf as ours were 2:40 tickets. We saw the sea lions on pier 39 and had a wander round, but there are an awful lot of tourist tat shops!
Saw some lovely boats in the Americas Cup enclosure, some of which I doubt even a lottery win could buy. There is another race tomorrow but we will miss it as we are heading North to wine country.
Alcatraz was worth the wait, with a very interesting audio tour.
