DDW's September challenge Day 7 : Memento

For today's challenge I wanted to take a picture of a carved box which used to belong to my Grandma. She was one of those really elegant ladies who you would never see til she had her hair just right and her pearls and lipstick on. She was a lady whom, when I was a kid, I loved and feared in equal measure. Sadly she suffered from Alzheimers disease in her final years and her decline was sad to see. The last coherent sentence she said to me was typical Grandma "You are a naughty boy". Its quite apt really.... When she died, this box was given to me.
