Better without the duckweed!

Cleared out the pond, refilled using rain water from a butt I'd kept specially. Needn't have worried though -all I found were 3 tadpoles, 6 water snails, 3 frogs 1 damsel fly larva and some hog lice. Very disappointing. Too many tadpoles!
