Surfin' Bird

Walk into town with the dog. And then off to Arnex-sur-Orbe for a little half-marathon. First time that I have done this race and great fun. Only about 40 minutes drive away but right out into the countryside. Race was hard and hot with lots of ups and downs through the vineyards, but beautiful scenery.

A slight variation from a normal race was that you passed through various places where you could try a glass of wine and then continue. I sensibly abstained and stuck to water!

Prize at the end for all runners was a bottle of wine, which Mrs SwRo and I appreciated this evening.

And Everybody's heard about the bird, but not sure what this one is that we spotted this morning. Any ideas ?

ps.30th out 179 overall and 8th out of 48 in age category. Not too bad, but think that some of the others might have stopped for a few glasses of wine!
