Henry Lloyd Race 2013

J and me woke up before sunrise and drove to Helsinki. We joined a crew of s/y Ulla and participated to Henry Lloyd Race. Other members of the crew were Antti, Ismo and the boat owner, captain Olli.

Our start was at 10:20 and at that time the wind speed was only 2 knots. Fortunately we got better winds later, 12-14 knots, which was perfect. The total distance of the race was 25 miles and our time was 5h 20 minutes.

The final results were available later in the evening and our team was third!!! (total of 11 boats in our class, ORC2.) That's awesome!

In the evening we drove straight to my parents where Emma, Leevi and Sami already waited for us. My mother has recently retired and she threw a small retirement party for us, also my sister's family joined.
