times gone by..........

no matter where you have come from, its a great thing to know. This blip highlights amongst others, the name Nathaniel Lucas on a list of names of people on the First Fleet of 1788 to arrive at Sydney. Together with a number of other convicts he was sent on to Norfolk Island to establish a colony, he married a female convict Olivia Gasgoygne.
to cut a long story short, my wife is a descendant of this couple. It was great experience to go to Norfolk Island in 2012 and follow up on all this history..........
