Glasgow's Water
This is one one of the inlet pipes at Craigmaddie Waterworks at Milngavie north of Glasgow. The water coming in through this pipe has come 26miles from Loch Katrine to be treated then sent on it's way to Glasgow and Paisley. I think the pipe drops a level of 10 inches in every mile, if that's not accurate feel free to tell me, I can't remember why I think that's right. It's a nice place for a walk and when I'm here I think of my dad. He left Ireland in 1946 and worked here as a labourer, living in digs in Milngavie.
