red eye special

Back in the day, the cheapest airline tickets were those that few late at night and arrived at your destination after midnight. My parents called these flights "red eye specials" because you would arrive completely exhausted with red eyes.

And although I know Spotted Towhees always have red eyes, I think this little guy is pretty exhausted, because just outside of this frame is a fledgling relentlessly begging for food!
