She looks how I feel

First day of rehearsals for the new school term with Linton Jazz. I love this little bit of me time on a Sunday, especially as husband Martin, generally has the roast dinner almost ready for when I get back.

I decided to get my horn out in the morning for a greasing-of-the-slides, emptying-of-the-water, oiling-of-the-valves and general polishing session.

But I haven't played at all over the Summer and...

....the rotary valves were stuck solid! Not even brute force could shift three out of four of them. Eventually one of the rotary valve strings snapped - so that was me buggered for today :-(

I'll get it fixed next week of course, but am very sorry to have missed our first rehearsal.
