Leicester Transport Heritage Trust old buses

Love these old buses! I was able to see a few briefly at the LTHT event today at Abbey Pumping Station.

They seem to have an enduring charm with the hard wearing maroon interior, curved roofs and the Leicester crown proudly embossed on the cream paintwork. All very homely and welcoming for me.

These buses were once the lifeblood of the city allowing workers and shoppers transit in and out of the city centre.
