What a lovely surprise when the grotty weather forecast for today turned into a decent one. So, my planned day in front of the computer turned into a trip to Conder Green, close to where the River Lune enters the sea.

The plan was a bike ride along the cycle path, bird watching, blackberry picking, a photo session at Glasson Dock and finally tea and cake in the cafe. Also needed to pop into Sainsbury's on the way home.

All done except the blackberries - they were not as big and juicy as we expected. Plenty of birds including herons, curlews and (we think) a little egret.
