From the top..
..of Stac Pollaidh..
The wonderful views of the mountains of Assynt. From left to right, Quinag, Suilven, Foinaven/Arkle, Canisp, Conival/Ben mor assynt, and Cul mor. From the top of Stac Pollaidh, you can see down to Skye, follow the Outer Hebrides through Harris and Lewis, Reiff and Stoer peninsulas, Handa Island, and on up to Cape Wrath. It is breathtaking. It's quite a gentle walk, only getting up to 2000 feet, and about 2.5 miles, but today we were pestered by midges for most of the lower reaches, they're not normally that bad once you get beyond the tree line..
Had Sunday breakfast, and listened to the Archers. Then booked some accommodation for our Christmas trip down south, three Premier Inns, three nights for £93.. Not bad..
Walked down the croft and dug some potatoes, gathered some kale, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, brussel sprouts, and beetroot. Cleaned and prepared ready for when we got back (and cooking now, along with pork chops and Yorkshires!)..
The weather has been wonderful, this is how sundays should be.. (and we called into the hotel for a pint on the way home!!)..
