We had people round for tea today, sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and cake. I made a chocolate cake with beetroot in it. It was on the whole a fairly simple recipe but, as pictured here I managed to use four mixing bowls, a bowl to whisk the egg yolks in and a cup for the separating of the yolks from the whites.

It was a very nice cake though and the tea went well. Presents were well received and we all had a good time. Success.
